Stephanie Phair

Stephanie Phair is the British Fashion Council Chairman. She was appointed in May 2018 for a three-year initial tenure with the option to renew.

Phair is a digital fashion veteran, with over 20 years of luxury fashion experience, first starting in e-commerce with Portero, the first pre-owned luxury marketplace. Following this, she moved to London where she joined NET-A-PORTER as President of The Outnet.com which she launched in 2009; she also sat on the Executive Board of the NET-A-PORTER Group from 2009 to 2015. Her career began in NYC with roles in communications, marketing and business development at Siren PR, Issey Miyake and American Vogue where she worked on initiatives such as the launch of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund and the annual Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala.

Today, Phair is Chief Customer Officer at Farfetch, responsible for the end to end customer experience overseeing functions from marketing, brand, consumer tech product and the Store of the Future proposition. She is a director of Farfetch and sits on the company’s Executive Board..

Most recently, she has consulted with several start-ups in the digital space and advised PE firms on investments. She is also an advisor for venture capital firm Felix Capital and sits on the board of Moncler SpA.
