Application & Criteria

Eligibility

  • Jewellery designers working with precious metals and/or precious stones
  • Applicants should be based in the United Kingdom
  • Applicants should be in business for six years or less
  • Applicants must have a minimum of four stockists
  • Applicants should have experience with production and sales
  • Applicants can apply up to three times, if unsuccessful
  • Each year, the awarded businesses are reviewed and successful applicants can receive up to six seasons of support

Phase One - Application Process

  • Applications are now closed
  • Applicants must upload four signature collection images via the online application form
  • Applicants must upload a sketch of their forthcoming season’s collection
  • Once applicants have completed the online form, it will be reviewed by the Rock Vault panel of key press and buyers
  • Applicants will be notified via email of the results and feedback. Successful applicants move onto phase two

Phase Two - Submissions

  • Guidance notes for submitting samples will be included in the applicant's confirmation email. Please do not submit samples unless specifically requested to do so
  • Applicants may be asked to submit up to eight samples from their current collection, which will be considered alongside the application to reach the final shortlist. Successful applicants move onto phase three

Phase Three - Interview Process

  • The final shortlist are invited to be interviewed by our selection panel. Following this stage of interviews, the final recipients are selected
  • Applicants will need to bring eight pieces from their current season collection together with their new collection sketches, design mood boards and any other supporting material to present to the panel

Additional Information

  • Rock Vault will run on an annual basis, applications will open once a year from March – May. Designers are announced in July via a press release from the British Fashion Council (BFC)
  • The number of designers chosen can vary
  • Sponsorship is offered on a season-to-season basis
  • A space in the London Fashion Week (LFW) Designer Showrooms will be awarded as part of an installation within the dedicated Rock Vault area
  • A panel of judges are selected each season including key opinion formers, media, buyers and representatives from the BFC
  • The panel exists in an advisory capacity only. There may be certain cases where the BFC feels a particular applicant may or may not be suitable for Rock Vault sponsorship, and the BFC reserves final say
