BFC Princess of Wales Charitable Trust

The Princess of Wales Charitable Trust was set up in 1998 shortly after the death of Diana Princess of Wales, in recognition of her loyal support of British fashion designers.

Initially funded by generous donations from Arcadia Group, Coats Viyella, Condè Nast Publications, Marks and Spencer, National Magazine Company and Pentland group.  In 2008, to mark the 10th anniversary of her death, the British Fashion Council made a further donation to the Trust.  The purpose of the Trust is to provide scholarships for British graduate fashion design students to further their training.
