Twelve students were selected by the judging for the interview stage of the competition. The panel reviewed the statements and portfolios submitted and shortlisted students from the following colleges:
De Montfort University
Kingston University
London College of Fashion
Northumbria University
Nottingham Trent University
Royal College of Art
University College for the Creative Arts
University of Brighton
University of Westminster
Of those interviewed, three were chosen to undertake a one month training placement at Harrods, working alongside the Harrods own label team. This will give the students the opportunity to understand the Harrods customer, the buying cycle and quality assurance. Following a month of training and development, the three finalists will be required to produce a piece of work based on a brief. They will present their concepts and designs to the panel from which a winner will be decided.
The winner will win a year’s paid internship at Harrods.
