Currently studying Fashion Textiles and soon to graduate, I have a keen interest in conceptual garment design and visual storytelling through clothing. I merge narrative, creative pattern cutting, sustainable materials and textile processes, to create playful garments with unusual silhouettes. My research and ideas often stem broadly from feminist theories and I recently presented my own research at ‘Visual Encounters’, a UWE undergraduate research symposium. I have good garment construction, pattern cutting and drawing skills and am proficient with industrial sewing machinery and hand sewing. Adept at using Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator, as well as Wilcom for digital embroidery. Experienced with Brother and Tajima embroidery machines and with a range of dye processes. Recently nominated for the Graduate Fashion Week awards for Pattern Cutting and Fashion Illustration. I illustrate in my spare time and was awarded the UWE Summer Scholarship for Enterprise in 2023 which enabled me to produce prints of my work to sell at markets and online. I have excellent communication and organisational skills, work effectively as part of a team and am good at managing complex workloads. Developed in part through my many years as a Support Worker for adults with learning disabilities. Shortlisted for the Graduate Fashion Week Pattern Cutting Award and Nominated for the Graduate Fashion Week Fashion Illustration Award.
