Hi! My name is Eve and I am student from Northumbria University, graduating from Fashion Communication, soon to be based in Manchester. My final major project focused on assistants in the fashion industry. I created the first edition of a publication series, titled "The [production] Assistant" which is a conceptual representation of the role executed through photography and creative writing. It includes exaggerated and thematic visuals such as coffee spills and scribbled notes made by a trusty sharpie. Behind the scenes, assistants are an integral part of ensuring things are done seamlessly, the eagerness to learn and motivation to be noted as a hard worker who has the potential to go far in the industry. “The Assistant” is simply a nod of recognition to these individuals who may or may not know that they have these shared experiences, in the hope of gathering the talent of them to create "The Assistant" series.
