This collection is inspired by the organic forms and textures of Scottish seaweed. Seaweeds' organic structures- twisting, stretching, and folding with the movement of the water- inform the collections' sculptural and immersive textile language. The pieces explore the relationship between nature and body through innovative knitwear textiles combined with voluminous modern fashion techniques like ruching, puffing and quilting. The foundation of each look begins with ruched fabric manipulation, echoing the natural gathering, draping, and tension seen in seaweed as it twists and clings around the shoreline. The ruched bases create depth and asymmetry, forming soft yet structured silhouettes that feel alive with movement. Layers of textured and voluminous knits add further dimension- dense and tactile, reminiscent of seaweed's fibrous, porous surfaces. The result is a sculptural, immersive and innovative collection, with textiles that appear to grow, move and evolve with the wearer, celebrating the organic tension between wild natural forms and technical modern fashion.
