My Graduate Collection Mel is a personal collection born from memory, identity and the lasting influence of my mother, Mel. Inspired by her life in the 1980s during her mid-twenties, this body of work is both a tribute and a reinterpretation. It reflects the way style can shape identity and how clothing holds the stories of the people we love, bridging generations. This collection began with a wardrobe. Growing up, my mother passed down pieces from her youth to me - garments she had worn during a formative and expressive chapter of her life. I inherited them not just as clothes, but as part of her history. In revisiting these items as an adult, I saw how our memories, identities, and styles had begun to overlap - how her past had subtly woven itself into my present. This Collection is a way of capturing that intergenerational fusion, where her legacy and my perspective combine.
