As a trans designer, I aim to celebrate those who exist on the fringes of society. My design ethic rejects traditional gender binaries. Instead, I am driven to create truly genderless fashion, using my lived experiences as a trans person as well as the experiences of my community. I am influenced by fashion within queer spaces, where self-expression can be amplified to create individuality and authenticity found nowhere else. I use my professional background in bespoke alterations to create gender-affirming garments that flatter trans bodies, with my atelier experience ensuring that each fit is perfect. Transgression is a love letter to the trans+ community, spotlighting unconventional lives and bodies in a society growing ever more hostile to those who live outside of its accepted norms. Each look elevates the individual, being made not only to fit the muse’s body, but also their sense of self, opening up an opportunity to experience gender euphoria.
