Grace Cameron- Black is a British womenswear and textile designer based in London. Her BA collection “Coup de Gráce” is a six-look collection that explores the symbolism of a final, decisive act. Grounded in tailored silhouettes and experimental textile work, the collection delves into themes of deterioration, transformation, and the beauty of collapse. Each look captures a moment of unravelling, where destruction becomes a form of creation. Drawing from the utilitarian styles of camouflage netting, military attire, and distressed surfaces she utilises fabric breakdown and sculptural construction techniques to present a narrative of decay as a precursor to rebirth. Without using fur, leather, or feathers, the collection consists of alternative developed materials that evoke the same tactile depth through layering, distressing, and hand-crafted texture.
