My project explores the subconscious mind, reflecting on dream journals, fleeting thoughts, and the feeling of drifting beyond the present moment. I began dream journaling during the 2020 lockdown, when my dreams became so vivid they blurred the line between reality and illusion. This led me to explore the duality of consciousness and subconsciousness, inspired by mind-body dualism and the idea of a second self—one that detaches from the sleeping body, floating into a limitless, intangible realm. My collection follows the gradual descent into deep sleep, expressing the creeping immersion of dreams through my use of textile techniques that add to the transformation of softness and lightness giving way to the ethereal haze of my dreamscape realities.
