Migration and cultural exchange are the core inspirations for my graduate collection. Experiencing western culture while staying connected to my Chinese roots gave me a unique outlook on identity, tradition, and belonging, driving me to explore how diverse cultural influences shape identity and self-expression. My collection reflects these experiences, merging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary western tailoring to embody the richness of heritage and modernity. Through my research, I have made connections between personal and shared histories, emphasising the transformative impact of migration. With this collection, I would like to honour my heritage through a lighthearted and celebratory approach, creating designs that bridge the past and present while showcasing the vibrancy of cultural intersections.
