Amy Loughran is a multidisciplinary fashion designer specializing in Womenswear, Menswear, print, garment technology and pattern cutting. Her design practice blends technical precision with rich storytelling, creating garments that are as innovative in form as they are meaningful in concept. Skilled in both womenswear and menswear, she designs garments that transcend traditional boundaries—fluidly merging masculine and feminine codes through silhouette, detail and fabrication. With a foundation rooted in craftsmanship and experimentation, Amy brings a unique perspective to contemporary fashion. Her work is marked by bold textile prints with deep awareness to structure and fit. Coupling her print design with an in-depth knowledge of garment technology and advanced pattern cutting, allows her to construct garments that are not only visually striking but functionally sound and wearable. Amy’s BA Collection, ‘The Travelling Circus’ was inspired by family heritage of a line of performers with some being in the circus. Drawing on stories and photographs from her childhood, the collection explores themes of performance, transformation and identity. Through theatrical silhouettes, exaggerated proportions and vibrant prints, The Travelling Circus captures the whimsy and drama of circus life, while also reflecting on its complexities and hidden emotional layers. It’s a celebration of the magic that comes from living between worlds.
