Eve McPherson is a womenswear and non-gendered designer whose practice is driven by illustration, print, and a deep interest in storytelling. Illustration and print are core to her practice as she obsessively visualises ideas through drawing. In her graduate collection ‘the bobble dream’, she explores a looping glitching hair bobble - a surreal motif that repeats across her imagination, symbolising chaos and the distortion of self-image in dreams. From her exploration of dreams, she created a tangled web of textiles: chainmail, soldered hoops, and hair bobbles joined by jump rings. Each material serves as a metaphor—chainmail as fixed memory, elastic bobbles as fleeting emotion, and their connections as the mess of mental clutter. Eve approaches fashion as a narrative space—one that welcomes humour and child-like imagination. She imagines her collections as part of fantastical worlds, always asking how they might feel, move, or be received by those who wear them. Her work is intuitive, chaotic, and always rooted in a love for storytelling.
