Amirhossein Jabbarifard is a multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer whose work blends. Persian identity, political storytelling, and music culture into emotionally charged garments. Born in Iran and currently based in Manchester, UK, his creative approach is shaped by lived experiences of cultural duality, migration, and resistance. His final collection, "Reflected Rhythms," explores the influence of Western hip-hop on Iranian youth and highlights the ongoing struggles of Persian rappers who risk censorship and persecution to speak out. The collection features structured silhouettes inspired by Iranian military service uniforms, contrasted with forms drawn from traditional Persian musical instruments—reflecting the rhythm, power, and tension found in both music and everyday life. Prints play a central role in his work. Many of the collection’s prints are inspired by political graffiti on Iranian streets—slogans that are repeatedly painted over by authorities but reappear as acts of public resistance. These prints are layered, collaged, and sometimes hidden inside garments to create a personal connection between the piece and the wearer. Amirhossein also integrates small functional details into his designs, such as headphone holders, hidden pockets, and engraved messages—features that make each garment both practical and intimate. His silhouettes often lean toward oversized and motion-focused forms, influenced by the freedom and raw energy of the Persian hip-hop scene. In addition to fashion, Amirhossein’s creative practice spans music, painting, graphic design, and video. Collaboration is central to his process, and he regularly works with musicians, visual artists, and photographers to create projects that merge disciplines and challenge traditional boundaries. His work is defined by a deep sense of personal narrative, cultural memory, and resistance - brought to life through bold silhouettes, layered surfaces, and emotionally honest storytelling.
