Nicole Barker is a Womenswear designer with strong interest in print and textiles, as well as accessories like shoes and jewellery. Her designs are often influenced by her love for art and craft and collage. She likes to work with a wide range of techniques, from different fabric manipulations to bio plastics and laser cutting. She often mixes traditional and modern techniques in her work like smocking, pleating and screen printing. Nicole's BA final collection was inspired by her grandad's immigration to England #as part of the Windrush generation and what memories are strongest to him during his battle with dementia, specifically his fond memories of the food markets in Kingston, Jamaica.
