This collection represents the journey of growing up and attempting to find an identity. THIS IS MY JOURNEY As most children do, I lacked an identity and dressed up as my role model to adopt a temporary one. Care-free, secure, imaginative. NO EYES ON ME Growing up, I became uncomfortable in my own skin and imitated other identities in order to fit in. Insecure, anxious, unsure. ALL EYES ON ME In my final year at university, I feel more secure in my identity, but still seek to improve myself. Self-assured, confident, growing. SOME EYES ON ME It is unrealistic to think that as humans we will ever reach a point of feeling complete security in our identities, so some eyes shall remain. However, I want this collection to represent a feeling of hope that one day you will feel no eyes and return to that care-free child that still lives inside you.
