My collection is inspired by the early Barbie movies (2001–2010), which shaped my identity and offered comfort during difficult times. A survey I conducted revealed a strong emotional connection to these films among my peers, validating the concept’s depth. I translated my personal journey into four garments: “Broken Barbie” reflects resilience in brokenness, made from shattered CDs, and grey tones, “Whispers of Transformation” (CLO 3D) captures private healing through a cocoon-like silhouette with floral and butterfly motifs, “Unfolding Beauty” (CLO 3D) expresses growth, with flowing ruffles that reveal a hidden corset and “Metamorphosis,” my final physical piece, symbolizes self-discovery and full bloom. This nostalgic yet empowering collection invites others to reconnect with their inner child, embrace transformation, and find strength in their own journey.
