Stargroves by Hay 93, is a love letter to the rock music industry of the 1970s, portrayed through a fictional band and album. This collection draws inspiration from iconic music and fashion figures of the '70s, including Stevie Nicks—whose whimsical style, use of chiffon, and assertive presence shaped an era. Mick Jagger also influenced the collection with his bold, impactful suits and his enduring sense of fun throughout his career. Jimmy Page’s unique stage style, featuring embroidered trousers and suits, along with his creative approach to music, further informed the aesthetic. Modern musicians who channel the spirit of these legends also played a role in shaping this collection. Miley Cyrus, my fashion influence since childhood, embodies female empowerment in everything she does. Meg White’s bravery and quiet confidence inspired garments designed to evoke strength and self-assurance. Vic De Angelis of Måneskin influenced the collection with her unisex styling, energetic presence, and passion for both music and fashion. These individuals have impacted this collection not only through their style but also through their character. In the music industry, sustainability practices are not as prevalent as they are in fashion. I’ve merged the two by designing tour garments that are mix-and-match, reducing the number of pieces needed and minimizing shipping. These versatile outfits allow musicians to create multiple looks from fewer garments, promoting both creativity and sustainability.
