I am of mixed Serbo-Croat and Scottish heritage; my work draws from this dual background to explore identity through design. My practice is informed by the architectural legacy of socialist Yugoslavia particularly its monumental memorials as well as traditional South Slavic folk wear and cultural traditions. This is placed in dialogue with the rich British history of tailoring and high standards of craftsmanship. Through sharp silhouettes, sculptural construction, and intensive techniques such as fabric moulding, hand-finished embellishment, and surface manipulation, I aim to translate cultural tension into refined, wearable form. Working exclusively in black, I use texture and silhouette to convey structure, nuance, and emotional weight.
