NYC After Dark is a modern tribute to the explosive energy of 1980s New York — a city pulsing with creativity, rebellion, and fearless individuality. Imagined as a posthumous collaboration with Steven Sprouse, the collection channels his iconic fusion of graffiti, glam, and punk, reinterpreted through my own design language. Inspired by downtown muses like Debbie Harry and Madonna, it captures the raw spirit of club culture, street fashion, and the underground art scene. The collection features bold, custom prints influenced by the urgency and edge of street graffiti — a nod to Sprouse’s downtown aesthetic. Meanwhile, the draping is inspired by the fluidity and emotion of paint expression, translating movement, spontaneity, and gesture into fabric form. Shapes flow like brushstrokes, collapsing and clinging to the body with intention and attitude. Electric colours clash with tailoring, sheer textures reveal and conceal, and Prints disrupt tradition. This is not nostalgia — it’s resurrection. NYC After Dark is a visual diary of rebellion, glamour, and youth — made for the new icons who dare to rewrite the rules.
