Rooted in my Greek Cypriot heritage, my work explores the tension between softness and structure, nostalgia and modernity. I design through storytelling, uncovering personal memories and cultural references, reworking them into contemporary silhouettes. My process begins intuitively, often through draping and sculpting organically on the body and sketching what feels natural. My graduate collection, ΕΜΕΙΣ (‘us’ in Greek), is an ode to me, my mum and my sister. Our shared style, memories and values. Inspired by my mother’s wardrobe, 1980s Mediterranean tailoring, the fractured beauty of Greek sculpture, and the Cypriot landscape’s earthy tones. Strong shoulders meet delicate drapes, sharp lines soften into curves, while masculinity and femininity blur elegantly. I am deeply interested in how garments carry emotional weight and how what we wear reflects who we are, where we come from, and how we want to be seen. Garments that feel intimate yet powerful. Pieces with meaning and a story. My work is a love letter to home. Focusing on human connection, honouring identity and tradition, embracing contradiction, and creating pieces that effortlessly empower the wearer.
