Mia Daher is a Lebanese womenswear designer based in London. Her work explores the idea of clothing as modern armour — garments that protect, assert, and carry presence. Through structured silhouettes and bold materials, she creates pieces that feel powerful, sculptural, and controlled. Her collection is built around four key looks, each focused on strength and protection. Two of the looks feature hand-sculpted gold metal corsets made from recycled pots. One is paired with a black silk skirt, contrasting the weight of metal with smooth, structured fabric. The second is styled with layers of black tulle and nylon, adding volume and dimension. Both corsets are welded, filed, and polished by hand, turning everyday materials into rigid forms of defence. Another look is a black denim dress that rises to cover the eyes. This piece removes facial identity, creating presence through shape and concealment. It focuses on silhouette and construction rather than visibility. The final look combines goat fur shorts with a corset made from bamboo sticks and lamb Nappa leather. The bamboo is hand-shaped and stitched into the leather, forming a structured, cage-like bodice. This piece reflects a quieter expression of control — built from natural materials and assembled with precision. Mia’s work combines concept and craftsmanship. She uses garments as protective structures, creating fashion that holds its form and purpose. Each piece is made to feel solid, composed, and intentional.
