Tzuhan Lo is a womenswear and menswear designer from Taiwan, currently based in London. Her MA graduate collection, De-suit, explores the fusion of traditional tailoring with the raw energy of street culture and motorcycle wear. With a deep appreciation for the structure and symbolism of the classic suit, Tzuhan reimagines it through a personal lens, making it more wearable, expressive, and relevant to everyday life. The inspiration for De-suit comes in part from her upbringing in Taiwan, where scooters and motorcycles are a part of daily life. As someone who rides herself, Tzuhan was drawn to the utilitarian, rebellious, and protective nature of motorcycle gear. She wanted to merge that sense of attitude with the structured language of the suit, a garment often associated with rigidity and control. The collection incorporates zippers, exposed hardware, and deconstructed sleeves inspired by biker jackets, while maintaining a clean silhouette that softens the traditional suit. Rather than creating something dramatic or conceptual, De-suit focuses on subtle rebellion, with pieces designed to be lived in, worn on the street, and connected to real identity. She carefully balances function and form by integrating tailoring techniques with urban aesthetics. Her garments often feature layered constructions and fine detailing that reflect movement and adaptability. By blending traditional menswear elements with references from daily life and subculture, Tzuhan creates a grounded, wearable, and emotionally resonant visual language that connects deeply with personal identity and lived experience.
