Artie is a London-based womenswear designer and recent BA Fashion Design graduate, specialising in textile development and experimental garment construction. With a strong passion for materials, silhouette, and craft, her work merges traditional techniques with contemporary forms to create designs that feel personal, expressive, and forward-thinking. Artie’s graduate collection unites the textile traditions of Vietnam’s Yao minority with the abstract visual language of Picasso’s Cubism, creating garments that are both futuristic and deeply rooted in storytelling. She is committed to introducing a youthful, forward-thinking vision of Vietnam to the international fashion world. Her graduate collection, which was selected for her university’s prestigious press show, draws inspiration from the weaving traditions of Vietnam’s Yao ethnic group and the fragmented visual language of Cubism. Through this concept, she explored transformation — both personal and structural — by deconstructing and rebuilding garments using techniques such as hand-weaving, draping, and fabric manipulation. She is especially skilled at combining unexpected materials such as tulle, leather, and her own handwoven textiles to create pieces that are both delicate and powerful.
