The False Prophets is a dark, conceptual fashion collection that critiques the moral ambiguity of modern “heroes.” Drawing inspiration from dystopian series like The Boys, Watchmen, and the gritty aesthetics of Batman and Sin City, the collection reframes the superhero archetype through a gothic, sinister lens. It explores the psychological decay that comes with unchecked power, portraying heroes not as saviors, but as flawed individuals burdened by trauma, corrupted by ego, and often teetering on the edge of oppression. The collection resonates with the ideology of characters like Hero Killer Stain from My Hero Academia, challenging the legitimacy of those who exploit their status under the guise of virtue. Garments fuse tactical gear and workwear aesthetics with a handcrafted, raw feel—like personal armor stitched from pain and memory. Signature hero elements—masks, cloaks, gloves—become metaphors for secrecy, fractured identity, and internal conflict. Multimedia textures reflect fragmented psyches, drawing from Rorschach’s inkblot symbolism, Homelander’s deceit, and Sally Jupiter’s objectification. Accessories inspired by Coucou Bebe's intricate detail and layered, Banksy-style visuals embed hidden narratives, inviting viewers to question the truth behind idolized figures. This collection ultimately challenges the viewer: If our heroes’ truths were exposed, would we still worship them?
