My final concept is based on the word dream. To me, a dream represents people’s hidden desires—things they feel they cannot reach in reality. It also reflects emotions that are often suppressed due to social expectations. Society tells us to “act like adults,” and over time, many lose touch with their feelings. Dreams offer a space to escape these limitations and reconnect with the true self. Through this collection, I want to encourage people to embrace their desires and not be afraid to show who they really are. By wearing these designs, I hope individuals feel empowered to express their inner thoughts and emotions. Dream becomes something tangible—a soft rebellion against the pressures to conform, presented in a gentle, personal way. One of the key elements I used is the metaphor of bruises—symbols of pain, healing, and transformation. I wove subtle shades of purple and blue into the fabric, blending into gold and silver to represent strength emerging from vulnerability. To bring the dreamy, untouchable feeling to life, I worked with tulle for its lightness and softness. Denim was added to ground the collection, representing the balance between fantasy and reality—between who we dream to be and the world we live in. Sequins are the most essential material in this project. I use them as symbols of “healed wounds,” scattering them like stars over bruised areas. These glittering details represent scars that shine—wounds turned into badges of strength. Through this, I want to tell the audience: don’t be afraid to be wounded. Each scar is part of your story, and one day, it will shine as a symbol of growth and resilience.
