This project is exploring my Turkish background through Ye_ilçam in juxtaposition to the game GTA . The Ye_ilçam era refers to a significant period in Turkish cinema spanning from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Ye_ilçam era is known for its melodramatic themes, popular genres such as romantic comedies, action, and drama, and its emphasis on emotional storytelling. In both Ye_ilçam and GTA, women are presented through the male gaze, with one dimensional roles, reliant on their physical beauty.
