I am a recent graduate in Textile Design, specialising in Print. My work is inspired by everyday narratives—stories conveyed through imagery shaped by my observations of the world around me. I explore textures and motifs through a range of techniques, including natural screen printing, etching, and digital printing. Each process allows me to capture and express a different aspect of my visual storytelling. As a print designer, I am committed to minimising my environmental impact. Sustainability is at the forefront of my creative practice, and I strive to make responsible choices throughout the design process. This approach is reflected in key projects, such as a reversible waistcoat created using both digital and natural screen printing on sustainable linen. One of my earlier projects explored environmental themes, focusing on the protection of marine life and coral reef restoration. I studied a variety of coral species to capture their forms and textures, aiming to raise awareness of ocean conservation through design. Natural screen-printing pastes and eco-friendly fabrics supported the sustainable message at the heart of the garment and prints. For my final project, I turned to the historic and cultural richness of Venice. Drawing inspiration from the lace myths of Burano and the glassmaking traditions of Murano, I developed a series of prints that reflect the luxury of the Renaissance. Decorative motifs of locks and keys—symbols of memory, love, and connection—run throughout the work, capturing the layered romanticism of the city. These prints formed the basis of an eight-piece bag collection, crafted from off-cut deadstock leather and brought to life through surface techniques such as etching, screen printing, and vinyl placement. Through each project, I aim to combine thoughtful craftsmanship with meaningful storytelling, creating designs that are visually rich, environmentally conscious, and grounded in cultural context.
