Seohyeon is a London-based fashion design graduate whose work explores the delicate interplay between memory, emotion and identity. With a focus on tactile storytelling and atmospheric design, she crafts garments that blur the line between the conscious and the subconscious. Her graduate collection, "The Layers of a Dream," takes inspiration from "The Princess and the Pea," reimagined through the lens of comfort and emotion. Rather than retelling the fairytale, Seohyeon was drawn to the image of stacked bedding: layers of softness that hold warmth, memory and rest. Through the use of wadding, hand-layered textiles and padded construction, she translates the feeling of being wrapped in a dream into clothing. The result is a series of garments that feel protective, gentle and quietly powerful, like being held inside a moment you don’t want to leave. Rooted in her Korean heritage and shaped by a deeply intuitive design process, Seohyeon creates from a place of reflection. To her, clothing isn’t just something we wear, it’s a space where we rest, remember and reconnect with ourselves.
