This project explores the contrast between 17th-century witch trials and modern working women, focusing on their roles in power structures. Through studying the Salem witch trials, I examine why lower-class women were often accused and compare them to today’s professional women. My aim is to merge Puritan-era clothing with modern power suits, highlighting the duality of oppression and empowerment. The objective is to showcase how fashion can serve as a cultural tool, expressing the reclaiming of power and addressing gender issues through design.
