Aligned to my personal upbringing of life on a smallholding, this collection embodies the outdoor country lifestyle. Inspired by my stubbornly independent mother with a 'can-do' attitude, research delved into her lifestyle and subsequently the role of war time women. This collection represents women working the land and redefining the term 'feminine'. As a designer, upcycling is important to me. As my mother’s daughter, making the most of what we have is second nature to me, which has followed through to this collection. Fabrics include a range of dead stock materials and up-cycled products such as equine show jackets and tweed throws.
