As a fashion design student and aspiring fashion designer, i am motivated by sustainability and put it at the forefront of all my design choices. My ideas explore textiles and fabric manipulation, and i am particularly interested in finding ways to utilise waste. My goal is to innovate within the industry creating visually appealling and environmentally consious designs. In my graduate collection i pushed boundarys and committed to the ideas of circularity, by creating a collection of garments fashioned with primarily deadstock and scrap materials. Growing up i have been surrounded by hand me downs and secondhand clothing, when i was gifted a sewing machine my passion for upcy- cling and reusing began. This early exposure is what drove me to explore innovative ways of trans- forming textiles.
