I am a graduate designer from BA (Hons) Fashion Design course at Nottingham Trent University. My final year project is called 'Legacy of the Land', a conceptual bridal collection inspired by nature’s reclamation of Oakwell Hall Country Park in Yorkshire. The collection pays homage to its industrial heritage and the beauty of the natural world that has evolved there. To capture this transformation I used a colour palette influenced by the site’s history and evolving landscape, as well as intricate embroidery that reflects the richness of the surrounding landscape. My designs embody the coexistence of past and present. The collection illustrates how history shaped the serene environment I grew up to cherish. Bridalwear is my passion, and this project serves as a foundation for my future aspirations in the industry. By merging historical influence with the organic beauty of nature, ‘The Legacy of the Land’ represents the harmonious balance between tradition and transformation.
