I have a particular interest in menswear silhouettes, combining traditional craftsmanship with subtle, comforting textures. I make conscious yarn choices, favouring natural fibres that enhance the feeling of comfort. 'Back to Glenbrack' explores my family heritage through traditional workwear silhouettes, drawing inspiration from old family photos and the natural landscape to inform both colour and fabric choices. During my placement year, I gained valuable insight into the knitwear industry from both design and manufacturing perspectives. I developed my design skills further by producing trend and colour boards and contributing to the design and sampling of new products. This experience also gave me an understanding of the practicalities of running a business—building professional relationships, assisting in meetings, and supporting the planning of PR events.
