I am Maysa O’Connor, a BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles graduate from Nottingham Trent University. My work is guided by a strong foundation in knitted textile understanding, with a passion for high-quality materials such as wool, cashmere, and silk. In my final project, I have specialised in product design and development, creating a line of fully fashioned, high-end, modular garments that can be adjusted, deconstructed, and reassembled to fit the measurements of all genders. Dissatisfied with the current offerings of gender neutral fashion and the shapelessness of the garments, my project incorporates insertable pleats, removable panels, and styling options to reflect individual wearers’ preferences.
