“What Did I Miss?” is an eclectic Autumn/ Winter womenswear collection exploring FOMO—the fear of missing out that defines our twenties. Inspired by Baldessari’s photocollage style, the collection channels social anxiety and longing through layered storytelling and rich textures. My collection blends intuitive digital prints with devoré velvet, Turkish rug-inspired knits, and tactile mementos. The devoré suggests delicacy and erosion, while the knits offer warmth and structure. Relaxed, boxy silhouettes reflect emotional movement and freedom. A saturated palette of blues and reds contrasts muted tones, capturing the intensity of fast-paced, modern life. I design as a tactile mark-maker, navigating the in-between where intuition, memory, and material experimentation meet. My process is inherently artistic and imaginative, driven by a curiosity for the abstract and contemporary and expressed through form, texture, and colour. I believe that approach to design should be intuitive and experimental yet driven with purpose, engaging all senses and opening space for meaningful dialogue. Multimedia and collage are my starting points. I work by layering contrasting surfaces, textures, and imagery to construct bold compositions that are both abstract and deeply personal. Through this process, I explore and reinterpret themes of artistic inspiration and my surroundings, transforming observations into tangible forms. These explorations often manifest in knit and textile-based techniques that feel eclectic, whilst carrying an absorbed and reimagined sense of the old and familiar. My use of colour is distinctive and unexpected serving not just an aesthetic role but a narrative one. My work holds space for touch, texture, and human presence. It is this raw, layered, and instinctive approach that defines my identity as both an artist and designer; one who believes that the essence of fashion lies not just in visuals, but in what it makes us feel.
