My project explores the concept of “the beauty of fragility” by examining the physical and emotional effects of overwork in modern society. Inspired by the healing process of fractures and the asymmetry that can follow, the project reflects on the imperfect and vulnerable nature of the human body. I also consider the role of health supplements as psychological placebos, symbolizing how people seek comfort and self-rescue. Through fashion, my project expresses the tension between strength and weakness, highlighting contemporary labour's silent pressure and transforming human fragility into a powerful aesthetic statement. My collection combines wool and nylon to soften the rigidity of functional fabrics. Inspired by medical and work uniforms, it integrates features like reversed shirts, detachable button systems, and tube insertions, promoting sustainability, wearer interaction, and personal identity through adaptable, expressive design. I use aesthetics as a positive medium to encourage reflection on negative experiences and inspire meaningful change.
