Bread in the north, with a Grimsby attitude and experimental outlook towards the solidarity of modern day living. A chance to slow down from an over commercialized and over saturated market, my work reflects mass societal and cultural change within a population born for nothing. If we have no meaning, were born too early for technology, but too late for hippies and war. What are we. I’m not here to please you or make you smile. Raw, in your face and abrasive is how I define my art, if you don’t like it then look away. I’m here to bring power emotion and gluttonous freedom to a time that needs it more than we can fathom. Sourcing fabrics and trims from your back yard, I’m creating purely from the environment around me, to transcend our understanding of an art form that lives and breathes as one, walking hand in hand with a select few. JUNKY Autumn/Winter 2025 is my reflection on both my direct environment and what remains in my memory. Referencing the tattooed ideals of the prodigy and mixing UK punk, traditional tailoring and my culturally diverse upbringing. With a refined sense of Style, Drama and Etiquette this collection was built upon a continuation of my investigation into the semiotics of perceived personal identity paradoxes through masking forms and techniques as spoken about in my dissertation. Along with an art based and circular approach to design this portfolio investigates how my own personal fears and understandings of the world can be curated and developed into a raw physical form. How can you change an industry without first redefining industry standard. This, I ponder. I have a deep passion for this industry, yet I've never been given the opportunity to prove myself. Can you be the chance that changes perception as we know it?
