My name is Hadizah. I was born in 1999 in Nigeria. I am a 1st-class Fashion Design graduate from UCA Epsom. Before moving to England I earned a degree in Adult Education from University of Ilorin, Kwara State, & completed my secondary education at Federal Government Girls College, Omu-Aran. My passion for fashion began when I watched a fashion show that captivated me. I was fascinated by the process of bringing ideas to life from research to runway & drawn to how creatively demanding it was. I’ve always enjoyed pushing myself & fashion gave me the perfect medium to express my thoughts, challenge myself & connect with others through storytelling. When I made the decision to study fashion in London, it wasn’t a smooth path. I faced several challenges including deferring my admission due to a family emergency & initially switching to Fashion Business & Management. Despite setbacks, I remained determined. Eventually, I started my degree to study Fashion Design & that decision changed everything. My Nigerian heritage plays a significant role in shaping my design perspective. Growing up in a culture often misunderstood, I use fashion as a tool to explore identity, confront societal norms & create meaningful dialogue. Studying in the UK allowed me to see fashion as more than just clothing, it became a platform for bold storytelling & cultural commentary. I’ve had the privilege of being selected as one of the “Talent of Tomorrow 2025” by the Graduate Fashion Foundation, where I showcased my final collection. I have interned with respected brands like ALONUKO Bridal & ZHAOYI Yu Couture, & prior to relocating, I ran my own custom-made fashion brand in Nigeria called Moratol Fashion Dean. I aim to build industry experience, grow my professional network & launch my own independent brand. My journey has taught me that resilience, passion, & vision are key & I’m excited to keep creating designs that speak, inspire, & challenge the world around me.
