Specialising in design and illustration, my work typically centres around themes of power, women and masculinity. I often find myself drawn to the works of Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts and Yves Saint Laurent, with figures such as Marlene Dietrich and Gia Carangi influencing my creative vision when starting up new projects. My capsule collection, ‘No Spur but Ambition’, was born from a selection of horse brasses left to me by my late grandfather. These brasses would’ve been used to decorate the horses he used to breed Shires and Clydesdales; tall, built, working horses bred for jobs requiring physical strength and power. This, combined with my aforementioned influences, is how my collection came to be.
