As a designer, my inspiration stems from the art of crafting distinctive and compelling silhouettes through creative pattern cutting. Utilising innovative textile techniques to enhance my voluminous forms, drawing influence from wind distorted garments and the rich legacy of British outerwear. My work aims to subvert traditional conventions while maintaining a deep connection to British heritage and outerwear. Growing up in the countryside I have always been drawn to the atmosphere created by a moody, rainy day and how they bring out a feeling of quiet reflection and a raw kind of beauty. As a designer, this atmosphere was something I wanted to strongly convey though my collection, incorporating weathered textures, fluid shapes and layers that feel protective but still move with the elements. I wanted to capture the look and feel of rain soaked landscapes drawing on the way light and shadow play together bringing that into pieces that balance function with feeling.
