Meanings are transitional – an unspoken language between object and person which vary between each individual. This project explores this idea. Meet the ‘BowlerBack’; a comical exploration of traditional and modern. How the two can intersect and how what one originally perceived about the two objects as their own entities can be adapted and create a new meaning. This meaning belongs solely to the viewer. How do you read it? I know how I do. What does it say about you if you choose to wear it? Would the snapback sticker still provide me social validation?? The BowlerBack aims to collage together parts of hats, with their own independent sentiments and see if a new language can be created for them.
