My collection’s concept is called Ant’s Gospel. I aimed to use each of the four looks to represent four different parts of my life so in total my collection sums up me as a designer. The first look is named St Mary and represents the women in my family. The second St Sebastian represents me and my queerness. The third is named St Joseph which is a tribute to my grandad and the men in my family. The last look is named St Joan and represents my muse. As a print designer I wanted my collection to be entirely printed, so each garment is covered in screen print. A main design feature of my collection is pleats and is incorporated into each look. I’ve tried to blur the lines of gender with my garments so I feel like each garment could be considered both womenswear and menswear.
