My collection is inspired by the story of my home in Dorset—a 1920s ranch that we are currently renovating. The renovation process itself has influenced the concept, allowing me to express purity and raw craftsmanship through every garment. I’ve woven a narrative that draws on the storytelling of Beatrix Potter, blending it with elements of Great British royal subculture and the elegance of the traditional feminine circus performer. Deeply influenced by the aesthetic of the 1920s, I’ve explored vintage and historical clothing to reinforce the nostalgic atmosphere of the house. As the collection has evolved, certain themes have emerged—femininity, delicacy, consideration, and texture. These qualities, along with the perspectives of others, have continually shaped and refined my creative direction. The fabrics I’ve chosen for this collection carry a deeply personal significance, adding a unique touch to each garment. Many of them have been passed down to me from my grandmother, dating back to the 1950s, while others were carefully selected through a thoughtful process. Every fabric used is either deadstock or authentically vintage, aligning with my commitment to sustainability and storytelling. A lace sponsorship I received from Sophie Hallette has allowed me to blend the ideas of traditional with modernism, which sits at the forefront of my design practice.
