My design philosophy is conceptual: and I prefer to view garments as wearable art rather than clothes designed for every-day use. Taking inspiration from painters and textile artists such as Daisy Collingridge and Jenny Saville, I have always been captivated by their unique portrayals of the human body, which evoke an emotional response. Curiosity, creativity, fun and self-expression are key values in my designing: influencing every step of the design and construction process. I like to infuse a sense if childlike wonder into my work, designing garments that demand to be touched, admired, and worn in a way that reflects something I would have liked to dress up in as a little girl
