Who am I as a designer? Such a complicated question to answer as everything is constantly evolving and changing from my environment to tastes and the world in general. Although, I have completely changed over the course of my University education journey alone, I know there are some key pillars that make up me as a person and as a designer. I design with misfits in mind. I design for individuals who don’t want to conform to just one style. I design for people who love to express themselves through their own personal style taking inspiration from art and the world that surrounds them. I also design for myself. I take inspiration from my hobbies and interests, childhood and modern-day life, and translate these into my work. Ever since my time studying abroad at OsloMet in Norway I feel like I have altered my tastes and practices as a person and designer in order to become a better version of myself. Living abroad taught me to be grateful and how to absorb my surroundings, taking inspiration from everyday life. Specializing in print and embroidery, with a huge passion for photography I love to take pictures of things that inspire me or just make me feel something, whether that’s something positive or negative, and distort them into my work. This can be done through sampling, print, embroidery, drape, or drawings. Garments with interesting functional details and shapes usually leads my method. As I am new to menswear I am still finding my feet but I would describe my work as bold, elevated, modern take, celebrating collaborations of tastes, inspiration and art.
