Esme is a Fashion and Textiles graduate with a strong focus on design development, creative pattern cutting and craftsmanship. Her practice is rooted in a tactile approach to making, combining garment construction, pattern cutting, hand-rendered drawing, working drawings, tech packs and Adobe Creative Suite skills, with a strong emphasis on precision, detail and resolved outcomes. Her work is driven by a love of construction and material exploration, developing expressive garments through careful consideration of silhouette, texture and the relationship between body and fabric. Esme has gained varied industry and studio experience across costume, fashion design and exhibition contexts, including roles at Rabbit Baby, Prangsta Costumiers and Studio 1.1. These experiences have strengthened her technical ability, problem-solving, time management and understanding of collaborative studio practice. Alongside her design practice, Esme has developed experience in curation and exhibition-making, including presenting work within Arcadia at Studio 1.1. Her work reflects a balance of emotional design thinking and excellent technical execution, with a continued focus on thoughtful, sustainable making and creating garments with longevity and purpose.
