As a First-Class Fashion Design graduate from Kingston University, I create narrative-led textiles that combine traditional craft with contemporary knit innovation. My graduate collection, Shared Landscapes, explores the enduring relationship between people and the rural landscapes of the United Kingdom through finely crafted knitwear inspired by my grandparents' photographs and my own upbringing in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Using hand and machine-knitting techniques alongside Shima Seiki programming, I develop textured textiles that preserve heritage through modern design. My work embraces sustainability, utilising biodegradable raffia and natural fibres to reinterpret sheep fleece, and pay homage to rural traditions and Victorian outdoor dress. I have industry experience with Studio Nicholson, Ted Baker, Wool & The Gang and Kiori Studio, developing skills in knitwear design, pattern writing, digital knit programming, pattern cutting, and garment development. I am passionate about combining technical innovation with personal narratives to create contemporary knitwear rooted in craft, heritage, and material exploration.
