Jasmine is a womenswear designer whose practice explores friction through materiality, silhouette and the relationship between masculine and feminine codes. Her approach to design is rooted in material experimentation, prototyping and technical refinement, and was shaped by her internship at Tom Ford, where she developed a rigorous understanding of precision, craftsmanship and iterative design development. Working through a queer, female gaze, her graduate collection A Sensual Friction investigates sensuality and sexuality by combining controlled tailoring with translucent fabrics, exposed skin and contrasting materials. Materially, the conflict between powder dry and lacquer wet becomes central, where matte resists gloss and absorption resists slickness. Contrasting materials, including powdered latex, vinyl and glass, are used to heighten sensory tension and create garments that feel unsettled and alive.
